The San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers



Welcome to the San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers, a musical community that has been growing and thriving in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1986. Don't let the name fool you, though, as we are not just in San Francisco, we play much more than Scottish music, and fiddles are by no means the only instruments that we enjoy.  A huge thank you to those of you who joined us this weekend for our concerts in Davis, Berkeley, and Aptos. We had a blast, and we hope you did too!

If you’d like to catch our Stravaig concerts next year, please save the dates:

Players of all ages and all abilities are welcome. There are no tryouts, rankings, or hoops to jump through.

Here are some of the benefits of membership in the SFSF:

  • Our monthly newsletter, which includes reports on club activities, information on upcoming events, and sheet music for the Tune of the Month.
  • Access to a wealth of online material including audio and video recordings and sheet music for learning tunes.
  • The opportunity to play in our public performances such as farmers' market gigs, public library concerts, and Stravaig, our annual spring concert series.
  • The opportunity to participate in club events such as our annual Winter Weekend retreat and our Burns Night supper.
  • Immediate family and household members can be included at no additional cost.

The San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers

The San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers formed in 1986 to play traditional Scottish fiddle music. Members meet the third Sunday of each month in homes and community halls around the San Francisco Bay area, drawn together by our strong sense of community and delight in sharing the music we love.

In addition to our annual Spring Concerts and smaller performances at farmers' markets and other venues throughout the year, SFSF musicians may be available for other events, public or private. For more information contact bookings@sfscottishfiddlers.org.

We are a volunteer-run organization under the nonprofit sponsorship of the Scottish Fiddlers of California.

Join us and play with us at monthly meetings, community outreach performances, weekend retreats, and our annual Spring Concerts. All ages and levels of skill welcome; playing by heart sustained all year long.
